Lentejas, si quieres las comes y si no las dejas... Esa legumbre tan rica, nutritiva y fácil de preparar, que si la combinamos con arroz, se convierten en proteínas de alto valor biológico equiparables a las de origen animal. La verdad que en casa siempre son bienvenidas, pero... se que muchas madres tienen problemas a la hora de servirlas a sus niños. Ayer puse en remojo un paquete que tenía guardado y hoy me puse manos a la obra y comimos unas ricas lentejas estilo B.B.B. con chorizo, morcilla, carne y claro.... el infaltable arroz. En casa, nos gusta hacer el arroz por separado, pero se que otras personas hacen el arroz junto con las lentejas.

- 600 gr lentejas
- 1 cebolla grande
- 1 pimiento grande
- 2 chorizos colorados
- 3 morcillas (de arroz en mi caso)
- 250 gr carne (cabeza de cerdo)
- 2 zanahorias
- 3 patatas
- 250 ml tomate frito
- sal, aceite, pimentón, azúcar
- 1 taza arroz
- 3 tazas caldo de verduras

- Picamos la cebolla, pimiento, zanahorias, patatas pequeñas (o como más te guste, a mi me gusta pequeña) y reservamos. Picamos en rodajas los chorizos y morcillas y en cubitos la carne.
- En una olla grande, sofreímos bien la cebolla primero, cuando se vea transparente agrego el pimiento y remuevo un poco. Agrego la carne, chorizo y morcillas y rehogo un poco. Agrego las verduras picadas y rehogo todo junto.
- Una vez está todo rehogado a fuego medio-suave, agrego el tomate frito, remuevo, agrego media cdta de azúcar para evitar la acidez del tomate, agrego sal (a gusto) y una cdta de pimentón. Remover bien
- Agregar una taza de caldo y cocinar todo. en unos 20 minutos estarán listas tus sabrosas lentejas. Retirar y dejar enfriar unos minutos.Acompañar con el arroz. Buen Provecho!!
- Observación: Como comenté antes, yo preparo aparte el arroz de la siguiente forma: en un cazo con un poco de aceite rehogo el arroz (una taza) para sellar el grano, agrego las dos tazas de caldo caliente (prueba la sal y rectifica) a los 16 minutos el arroz esta listo.
- En la foto se ve verdoso porque lo hice con caldo de verduras verdes. ;)
